Dr Sumon Wai is a caring and dedicated General Practitioner with more than nine years of clinical experience. She is committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive care and developing personalised treatment plans that support each patient’s long-term health and wellbeing.

Dr Sumon completed her MBBS at the University of Medicine 2, Yangon, Myanmar, in 2015. She has worked across Myanmar, the United Kingdom, and Australia, gaining broad experience in both hospital and community settings.

After relocating to Australia in 2024, she worked with the Central Coast Local Health District in New South Wales, further strengthening her skills in managing a wide range of medical conditions and caring for patients of all ages. She has now joined Forrest Family Practice, bringing her patient-centred approach and commitment to holistic care.

She believes in listening carefully, understanding each patient’s story, and working in partnership to achieve the best possible health outcomes.

Outside of work, Dr Sumon enjoys travelling, spending time with her family, running, going to the gym, and exploring new places.
