Dr Sudheera Amarasinghe is a compassionate General Practitioner committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care that supports individuals and families through every stage of life. She believes in building trusted, long-term relationships with her patients and delivering personalised, evidence-based care with a strong focus on communication, preventative health and chronic disease management.

After graduating from Tianjin Medical University in China in 2011, Dr Amarasinghe completed her clinical training before returning to Sri Lanka, where she practised for 13 years across hospital and outpatient settings. She gained extensive experience managing a broad range of acute and chronic health conditions and holds Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP), United Kingdom. In 2025, she relocated to Australia and worked as a Medical Registrar at St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals before joining Forrest Family Practice.

As a dedicated Family GP, Dr Amarasinghe enjoys all aspects of general practice, with particular interests in women's health, children's health, preventative health, chronic disease management, health assessments, skin checks, mental health, immunisations and family medicine. She takes a thoughtful and collaborative approach to care, helping patients make informed decisions while supporting their long-term health and wellbeing.

Outside of medicine, Dr Amarasinghe enjoys travelling, reading, cooking, maintaining an active lifestyle, practising yoga and spending quality time with her family.
